Zusammenfassung
Viren sind vermehrungsfähige Komplexe aus Nukleinsäuren mit Proteinen und z.T. Lipiden in definierter Partikelform. Sie vermehren sich nur innerhalb von lebenden Zellen. Sie besitzen das Vermögen, in die Zelle einzudringen und deren Stoffwechselapparat zur eigenen Replikation zu verwenden. Sie sind in langen Zeitspannen in Wechselwirkung mit ihren Wirten entstanden.
