Per Definition versteht man unter einem Lokalrezidiv das Wiederauftreten von Karzinomgewebe in der behandelten Brust oder im Bereich der Thoraxwand auf der mastektomierten Scite mit Manifestationen in Form eines oder mehrerer Knötchen, einer Verdickung oder Plaqueformation in der Haut, im subkutanen Fettgewebe oder im Muskel.
