Zusammenfassung
Der Barcode ist ein Verschlüsselungsverfahren zur direkten Belegverarbeitung (→ Beleglesen, maschinelles),das schnelle, fehlerfreie Erfassung von Informationen begrenzten Umfangs (Artikelnummer, Ausweiskennziffer, Material- oder Auftragsschlüssel) auf optischem Wege mit Hilfe von Photozellen oder Laser-Abtastung oder auch magnetisch ermöglicht [2].
