Zusammenfassung
Es hat sich gezeigt, daß die Verhaltenstherapie nicht durch ein einheitliches theoretisches Prinzip zu begründen ist. Vielmehr müssen zahlreiche, unterschiedliche Mechanismen des Lernens bemüht werden, um Erwerb und Veränderung von Verhalten zu erklären. Raz-ran (1971) kommt auf mehr als ein halbes Dutzend Lernmechanismen, die er auf einzelnen evolutionären Entwicklungsstufen festzumachen sucht (Habituation, Sensitivierung, Assoziation, aversi-ve, klassische und operante Konditionierung, Konfigurationslernen sowie symbolische Verknüpfung). Die Vielfalt der Mechanismen macht Lernen zu einem allgemein neuronal-kognitiven Begriff, der menschliches Nachdenken ebenso umfaßt wie die Konditionierung von Würmern.
