Abstract

Arich knowledge base is the primary source of power of any medical decision support systems even if the implementations are quite different. Since it is evident that no single decision support system will cover the entire spectrum of medical knowledge, the possibility of sharing knowledge bases between different groups.and systems has been proposed. The transfer of knowledge from the system where it was built up to other decision support systems would save a lot of efforts in knowledge acquisition and probably also would increase the use of decision support systems in clinical practice.
