Zusammenfassung

Die Funktion der Kniebänder besteht darin, im Zusammenspiel mit den Gelenkflächen einerseits eine gewisse Gelenkbeweglichkeit zuzulassen und andererseits bestimmten Kräften einen Widerstand entgegenzusetzen und damit die Bewegungsfreiheit einzuschränken. Eine zu geringe Beweglichkeit führt zur Funktionseinschränkung und Überlastung des Bänderapparats, eine zu große Beweglichkeit zur Instabilität. Bei der Erfüllung dieser Aufgabe spielt das vordere Kreuzband eine ausschlaggebende Rolle.
