Zusammenfassung

Der Wert der Naht der frischen Ruptur des vorderen Kreuzbandes ist trotz zahlreicher Studien (Feagin u. Curl 1976; Feagin et al. 1972; Hughston u. Barrett 1983; Järvinen u. Kannus 1985; Liljedahl u. Nordstrand 1969; Liljedahl et al. 1965; Lysholm et al. 1982; McDaniel u. Dameron 1980; Marshall et al. 1979, 1982; O’Donoghue 1955; Palmer 1938; Solonen u. Rokkanen 1967) umstritten. Marshall et al. (1969, 1971) zeigen in ihren experimentellen Arbeiten, daß degenerative Gelenkveränderungen bei Insuffizienz des vorderen Kreuzbandes auftreten. Fetto u. Marshall (1980) weisen aufgrund einer klinischen Untersuchung auf die Notwendigkeit des vorderen Kreuzbandes als Primärstabilisator des Kniegelenks hin und fordern deshalb die möglichst rasche operative Versorgung der Bandruptur. Die progressive funktionelle Behinderung durch degenerative Gelenkveränderungen und sekundäre Meniskusläsionen bei der symptomatischen Insuffizienz des vorderen Kreuzbandes wird auch von Noyes et al. (1983) belegt.
