Zusammenfassung
Obwohl echte Reanimationssituationen im Operationssaal selten vorkommen, ist es doch wesentlich, daß alle, die Kinder anästhesieren, vertraut sind mit den entsprechenden Reanimationstechniken. Dieses Kapitel und Kap. 18 beschreibt die Grundlagen für die Reanimation von Neugeborenen, Säuglingen und Kindern. Obwohl einige der Punkte für den praktizierenden Anästhesisten als zu grundlegend und die Algorithmen als zu starr erscheinen mögen, zeigt doch die Erfahrung, daß streng formulierte Protokolle bessere Resultate ergeben als allgemein abgefaßte Vorschläge. Dieses und das nächste Kapitel gibt die vom „European Resuscitation Council“ vorgeschlagenen Richtlinien wieder.
