Zusammenfassung

Während der Geburt finden gleichzeitig verschiedene physiologische Änderungen statt. Je nach Organsystem treten diese Umstellungen unmittelbar während der Geburt oder während der ersten Stunden, Tage oder Wochen nach der Geburt auf, was bei der Planung und Durchführung der Anästhesie berücksichtigt werden muß. Es sollte beachtet werden, daß Neugeborene nicht alle gleich sind (Abb. 1.1). Einige spezielle Probleme, die bei der Betreuung von Frühgeborenen auftreten können, werden auf S. 9 diskutiert.
