Iron—Aluminium Fe—Al

Abstract

Work on phase relationships of the system Fe-Al has been reviewed by Hansen [A], Elliott [B] and Shunk [C]. Fig. 1 shows the modified phase diagram which includes a re-investigation of the liquidus/solidus curves by Lee [1] and Schürmann and Kaiser [2], the α-Fe solubility range suggested by Köster and Gödecke [3] and new determinations of the γ-loop by Rocquet et al. [4] and Rocquet and Petit [5].
