Abstract
In practical problems decision variables may not be continuous. For studying problems where the decision variables take positive integral values, the integer linear programming has been developed. The procedures involved in the integer linear programming are explained in this chapter and in the end we emphasize on its two applications, viz., the traveling salesman problem and Cargo loading problem.
