Zusammenfassung
Es ist seit langer Zeit bekannt, daß bestimmte Virusinfektionen, wie beispielsweise Röteln und Zytomegalie oder eine Toxoplasmoseinfektion, die sich in utero entwickelnden Kinder schädigen können. Über die in diesem Zusammenhang relevanten diagnostischen und therapeutischen Maßnahmen liegen hervorragende aktuelle Übersichten vor (Enders 1991, 1992), und auch in diesem Buch sind die einzelnen Infektionen von Frau Prof. G. Enders ausführlich besprochen. Daher sollen in der folgenden Übersicht vorrangig die intrauterinen Untersuchungsmethoden dargestellt werden, die heute eine genauere Diagnostik und darüber hinaus z.B. bei der Parvovirusinfektion B19 auch effektive Therapie ermöglichen. Dabei ist insbesondere erfreulich, daß bei der Beratung betroffener Frauen immer seltener allein eine statistische Aussage gemacht werden muß, sondern eine individuelle Prüfung des Erregertransfers über die Plazenta möglich ist. Wir können aufgrund der eigenen Erfahrungen zeigen, daß in der Bilanz durch diese Bemühungen heute viele Schwangerschaften erhalten werden können, bei denen früher auf der Basis statistischer Risikoaussagen in der Regel ein Abbruch durchgeführt worden wäre.
