Zusammenfassung
Neugeboreneninfektionen mit und ohne Amnioninfektionssyndrom sind auch heute noch die häufigsten Erkrankungen der Neugeborenen in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Mit dem Auftreten eines Amnioninfektionssyndroms muß bei 1–2% aller Geburten gerechnet werden (Graeff 1981; Gibbs 1982). Die Häufigkeit dieser Erkrankung steigt mit der Schwangerschaftsdauer auf über 20% an, vor allem in Verbindung mit einem vorzeitigen Blasensprung (Abb. 1) (Brunham et al. 1984; Guzick 1985).
