Zusammenfassung
Merkel-Zellkarzinome sind neuroendokrin differenzierte Karzinome der Haut, deren Histogenese umstritten ist. Als Ursprungszelle werden die Merkel-Zellen der interfollikulären Epidermis und des Haarfollikels diskutiert, aber auch pluripotente, stammzellenähnliche Keratinozyten der Epidermis und der Adnexe.
