Abstract
This book is an engineering guide for the design of slopes and stabilisation work on rocks and residual soils in tropical regions subject to heavy rainfall. The book represents the extensive experience of engineers and geologists in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in addition to the authors’ experience in other regions of the world.
