Zusammenfassung

Durch eine rasante methodische Entwicklung in der Grundlagenforschung mit Erarbeitung hochempfindlicher Nachweisverfahren von Hormonen kam es zu einem enormen Wissenszuwachs auf dem Gebiete der menschlichen Fortpflanzung. Durch die Fortschritte in der Grundlagenforschung wurde es auch möglich, die Releasinghormone für einige Hypophysenhormone, zahlreiche Wachstumsfaktoren (EGF, IGF, TGF etc.) sowie andere Peptidhormone in der Struktur aufzuklären und für klinische Zwecke einzusetzen.
