Pharmacodynamics and Electrophysiology of Gallopamil

Abstract

To define the clinical electrophysiological profile of action of gallopamil we would refer to our results obtained with 20 patients during diagnostic His bundle electrography (Table 1). Programmed atrial and ventricular pacing was carried out before and after administering 0.06 mg/kg bd. wt. gallopamil i. v. whilst recording potentials from the upper right atrium, the His bundle region and from the right ventricle. The examination was invariably completed 20 min after administering the substance. The results are shown in Table 2.
