Zusammenfassung
Unter Dyspepsie wird eine ganze Reihe von Symptomen und Beschwerden zusammengefasst, die im Bereich der Oberbauchorgane lokalisiert sind und deren Genese durch Funktionsstörungen oder eine veränderte Nozizeption dieser Organe bzw. auf einem psychosomatischen Hintergrund erklärt werden können. Als Synonyme zum Begriff „funktionelle Dyspepsie“ werden eingesetzt:

Reizmagen-Syndrom,

nichtulzeröse Dyspepsie (NUD),

funktionelle Magenbeschwerden,

chronische Dyspepsie.
