Abstract

The recent progress in high-field laser physics research at Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (SIOFM) is reviewed. Some high-field laser physics experiments based on a 5 TW/46 fs laser system have been carried out and the results are reported here, which include the high-order harmonic generation in gas atoms and the energetic ion emission from the laser irradiated argon clusters.
