Abstract
The statistical properties of fundamental and second harmonic light in a single mode laser is investigated through a full saturation model. The expressions for the probability distribution function, second and third factorial moments of the photon counting m are presented. Compared to the experimental measurements, good agreement is obtained near threshold. It is shown that the multiplicative noise can enhance the fluctuations of fundamental light, meanwhile it can reduce the fluctuations of the second harmonic light.
