Electromagnetically Induced Waveguides and Propagation in Forbidden Zone

Abstract

We demonstrate how an intense resonant electromagnetic field can be used to allow propagation in otherwise forbidden region. We further show how a weak probe beam can be guided through a medium whose properties are spatially modified by a donut beam.
