Abstract
Drug photosensitivity reactions are adverse cutaneous responses to the interactions in the skin of a chemical agent (drug) and a non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation (light). The drug photo-sensitizer can reach the skin after topical application or systemic ingestion. The term drug refers not only to chemicals employed for therapeutic purposes, but also to cosmetics, food preservatives and agricultural and industrial compounds.
