Zusammenfassung
Unter Katecholaminen werden die vom Nebennierenmark und an den sympathischen Nervenendungen freigesetzten Hormone Adrenalin, Noradrenalin und Dopamin zusammengefaßt. Die Freisetzung der gespeicherten Katecholamine in das Blut erfolgt über die Stimulierung des sympathischen Nervensystems in Interaktion mit anderen Substanzen wie z. B. Azetylcholin und Insulin, wobei in Abhängigkeit von Intensität und Dauer einer Belastung sowie der psychophysischen Interaktionen unterschiedliche Anstiege resultieren. Insbesondere nach Belastungen mit hoher Intensität sind Anstiege um das mehr als 10- bis 12-fache des Ruhewertes bei Adrenalin, Noradrenalin und Dopamin zu beobachten. Jeder Aktivierung des glykolytischen Stoffwechsels bei Belastung geht eine Konzentrationserhöhung der Katecholamine voraus, wobei sich diese »Starterfunktion« sowohl auf die Glykogenolyse und Lipolyse als auch auf die Proteolyse bezieht.
