The Natural History of Malign Lesions of the Cervix Uteri
The morphological distinctions which have been drawn between the various cervical lesions just described in chapter 3 will have their ultimate validation if they are shown to correspond to differences in biological behaviour. Up to the present no laboratory test of this behaviour has been devised and thus the final arbiter is a careful correlation of morphology and natural history. However, this correlation presents difficulties and uncertainties some of which will be explored in the following paragraphs.
