Im Bibliothekswesen gilt die Regel, dass zur Titelaufnahme das Buch vorliegen muss (Autopsie).Diese Regel gilt für das Indexieren in noch viel stärkerem Maße. Indexieren anhand von Prospekten, Verlagsankündigungen, Buchbesprechungen, Referaten und dergleichen ist sehr problematisch.
