Ein Ordnungssystem (englisch: directo ry of terms) ist immer dann erforderlich, wenn gebunden indexiert wird. Es enthält alle für eine Dokumentation zugelassenen Deskriptoren, d.h. zum Indexieren und in der formalen Suchfrage dürfen nur die im Ordnungssystem enthaltenen Deskriptoren benutzt werden.
