On Specific Features of Thermal Conduction and Diffusion in Porous Dielectrics

The investigation of the process of thermal conduction has always been very important in practice. It is evident. The application of various substances in thermal-physical devices requires preliminary labor-consuming experimental measurement of their thermal conduction time. If, for example, a thermal insulator is concerned, such substances should be chosen whose thermal diffusion coefficient χ is the lowest, which naturally leads to the largest heating time and consequently to a long period of heat transfer.
