Zusammenfassung

Die Anwendung rückenmarknaher („spinal“) Opiate hat die akute und chronische Schmerztherapie in den beiden letzten Jahrzehnten erheblich bereichert [35, 36,150, 152]. Ihr Wirkungsmechanismus beruht auf einer Hemmung der Übertragung afferenter nozizeptiver Impulse im Hinterhorn, wo reichlich Opiatrezeptoren vorkommen. Als wichtigster Vorteil wird angesehen, daß rückenmarknahe Opioide weder die motorische noch die vegetative Reaktionsfähigkeit des Organismus beeinträchtigen [8, 146].
