Der postoperative Schmerz

Zusammenfassung

Viele Gründe lassen sich anführen, warum der postoperative Schmerz in aller Regel nicht adäquat angegangen wird: Zeitüberlastung der behandelnden Ärzte, die dem Pflegepersonal den Vollzug der analgetischen Therapie übertragen (müssen), daher zwangsläufig starre intramuskuläre Dosierungsanweisungen ohne Anpassung des Präparats und des Applikationsmusters an die individuellen Bedürfnisse des Patienten oder Angst vor Nebenwirkungen bzw. der Entwicklung von Abhängigkeit [82, 101, 144, 150]. Die meist fehlende Rückkopplung, die bei allen ärztlichen Maßnahmen zur Erfolgskontrolle unerläßlich ist, die kritiklose Übernahme tradierter Behandlungskonzepte und die Gewißheit, daß akute Schmerzen schließlich von selbst abklingen — all dies trägt dazu bei, die Probleme der postoperativen Analgesie zu verharmlosen.
