Zusammenfassung

Neben dem bekannten „optischen Fenster“ von der Ozongrenze bei ~3000 Å bis ins Infrarot bei 22μ hat die Erdatmosphäre einen zweiten Durchlässigkeitsbereich von λ ≈ 1 mm bis zum Beginn der Ionosphärenreflexion bei λ ≈ 30 m. In diesem Spektralgebiet hat sich seit K. G. Jansky’s Entdeckung (1931) die Radioastronomie angesiedelt.
