Abstract

There are many protein constituents contained in plasma in minute amounts, having various biological activities, such as enzymes, hormones, antibodies and factors involving blood coagulation and fibrinolysis. However, only fibrinogen and its degradation products are discussed in this chapter, for they are sometimes tested both electrophoretically and immunochemically as other plasma proteins.
