General Survey of the Plasma Protein Metabolism

  • Tadashi Kawai

The plasma proteins, like other constituents of the body, are continuously being lost and replaced by newly synthesized molecules, resulting in their characteristic homeostasis. Therefore, when plasma proteins included in the blood are being examined, only a part of their dynamic equilibrium may be momentarily apprehended. In order to understand the pathophysiology related to the plasma proteins, an effort should be made to see pathological alterations of each component dynamically.
