Respiration Dependent Pacemakers

Abstract

During exercise cardiac output rises due to an increase in stroke volume as well as an increase in heart rate. In untrained persons as well as in patients with myocardial insufficiency a rise in cardiac output is mainly due to an increase in heart rate.
