Zusammenfassung

Die Psychoneuroimmunologie untersucht die Zusammenhänge zwischen Verhalten und Immunsystem. Immunvorgänge werden entweder direkt vom Zentralnervensystem (ZNS) oder indirekt über die endokrinen Systeme gesteuert. Umgekehrt beeinflussen immunologische Prozesse das ZNS und verändern damit Verhalten. Wie andere vom ZNS innervierten Systeme sind auch Immunvorgänge durch Lernen modifizierbar.
