Abstract

To 1,2-C2B9H13 in C6H6 is added an equimolar amount of Be(C2H5)2∙3.30(C2H5)2. C2H6 is evolved, and a white precipitate is formed in a small yield. The precipitate is separated by filtration, washed with C6H6, and dried at 50°C.
