Die für den Intensivmediziner wichtigsten Thoraxverletzungen

Rippenserienfraktur mit instabilem Thorax: führt zu Störungen der Ventilation.
Pneumothorax, Hämatothorax, Hämato-pneumothorax, Spannungspneumothorax: führen zu Störungen der Ventilation und Oxygenierung sowie zur Beeinträchtigung der Herz-Kreislauf-Funktion.
Lungenkontusion: bewirkt Störungen der Oxygenierung.
Bronchus- oder TracheaIruptur; Blutungen in das Tracheobronchialsystem.
