Abstract
In September a press report published by Gallup drew attention to bad management and a resulting lack of commitment in employees. Accordingly, 85% of German employees do not feel any real obligation towards their work, they lack commitment, 16% are even actively uncommitted, i.e. they are not productive anymore or have even given up trying completely. Reasons for the lacking commitment in employees, as stated in the report, are as follows: „People do not know what is expected of them, their superiors are not interested in them as human beings, they often work in a position which is unsuitable for them and their opinions and views do not seem to be important.”
