FEM for Springs

Abstract

Readers who have read through chapter 5 now have an idea of how effective FEM is to handle problems that are difficult or unsolvable with conventional formulas. In the previous chapter, we put emphasis on understanding fundamentals on FEM analysis. Consequently, we were narrowly restricted within the range of linear analysis and were unable to deal with many practical problems.
