Elevation and Shape

  • Kurt Stüwe

In this chapter we discuss the position, shape and the motion of rocks; in short: geodynamic processes measured in meters. This includes discussions of the elevation of mountain ranges, and the depth of the oceans, as well as the change of such parameters: kinematics. We begin with a consideration of different coordinate systems and reference frames that we will use.
