Abstract
The first studies of order and chaos in the restricted three-body problem were presented at the 1964 IAU Symposium on “The Theory of Orbits in the Solar System and in Stellar Systems” (Contopoulos 1966a) by Hénon (1966a) and by Szebehely and Bozis (1966). A complete exploration of the Copenhagen problem (the restricted three-body problem with two equal masses) was made by Hénon (1965b, 1966b, 1969a, 1970).
