Precision in Length

After a short prologue on “precision in time” the main part of the text addresses techniques in high precision length measurements, namely the use of non-classical light for the improvement of the sensitivity of interferometers. There now exist a number of schemes in quantum interferometry, which will be discussed from a common perspective.
