Abstract
I would like to start by extending my gratitude to the organizers of this important event — the Oesterreichische Nationalbank and the Joint Vienna Institute. Having the latter among the organizers this year is particularly pleasing to me, as I had a great learning experience at the JVI some four to five years ago, at a time when some of the course participants at the Institute feared decreased demand for their newly acquired skills, as transition might be over before they were back home!
