Abstract
The simplest curve of higher degree, by which we mean degree higher than 2, is the curve known as the cubical parabola. The parabola we have encountered before has the equation y = x 2, after a suitable change of coordinate system in ℝ2. It has the graph shown in Figure 13.1.
