Abstract
In order to refer local frames to SIRGAS, the Buenos Aires Province GPS network was transformed to POSGAR98, the best Argentine geocentric frame related to SIRGAS. The comparison with previous results is satisfactory, the differences are few centimetres.
This new representation of the GPS Buenos Aires network also involves a new construction of the model to transform ellipsoidal heights into “mean sea level heights” in the frame of the IGM Argentine altimetric network. The model was tested with several points in different regions and the worst residuals are of the order of 10 cm, while most of them are only few centimetres.
