Abstract
It is a sad, but true statement: our civilization is sick. We no longer live a natural life. We behave toward each another in an alarmingly artificial way. Stiff, ritualized activities dominate the scene. Openness and honesty seem to have been lost. We have simply forgotten an ability we still had as children — to tell each other spontaneously what we think and feel. We can think of a thousand reasons why it would be hurtful, or even dangerous, to be open in direct contact with people. And we even still believe this.
