Abstract

As we have seen, the cosmological theorizing at the beginning of the 20th century involved a discussion of Newtonian cosmology, and the concepts of ether and action at a distance. Einsteinian Special Relativity (1905), which provided a satisfactory reply to both questions, was, however, limited to uniform motions, and to linear motions of systems of reference with respect to one another.
