Abstract

Schenker Corporation is one of the leading international suppliers of integrated logistics and transportation services. The company located in Essen, Germany and part of Stinnes Corporation has approximately 27,000 employees at almost 1,000 locations. It is organized into the company divisions Schenker-BTL, the largest logistics and transport company in Europe (specializing in European land-based transport), Schenker International (worldwide transport solutions in air and sea freight), and Schenker Logistics, which is considered as part of the case studies presented in this chapter.
