Abstract
The intensity distribution of laser beams with diameters in the range 0.1–5 cm can conveniently be measured in real time by employing a linear or a 2D array of photodiodes, a vidicon (a semiconductor or pyroelectric detector array), or a CCD (charge-coupled device) camera.
