Abstract

This presentation begins with a review of the major systems involved in the control of germ cell apoptosis, setting the stage for a discussion of ongoing experimental work from our laboratory. Because of the now vast literature on apoptosis in general and germ cell apoptosis specifically, we do not attempt to be comprehensive. Rather, our goal is to provide sufficient information to lead the reader to pertinent references, and to make the discussion of our ongoing experiments comprehensible.
