Abstract

In the previous chapters we introduced solitons that are in fact nontopological solitons, because the system returns to its initial state after the passage of the wave. In the present Chap. we introduce a new class of solitons or kink solitons called topological solitons, because in some cases the structure of the system is modified after the passage of the wave.
